The Hotel was under re-construction when I stayed there, so the first two floors were somewhat disconcerting. Floors 3,4 and 5 which were finished being renovated were modern, spacious and clean. Great location, close to the quarter but out of the noise and traffic.

This hotel is a little off the beaten path but well within walking distance from all the major sites which was useful since we were way over budget on calories for the trip! ;-) And since the hotel is not right in the middle of all of the activity, it was generally peaceful with the minor exception of noise carrying in the atrium. Would definitely stay here again.

The efforts of the entire staff to accommodate my wife and me made the entire trip a complete sucess. The room overlooked the courtyard which was landscaped very well. The only drawback to the trip was parking in the area other than valet parking.

Location was great, easy walking to World War II museum, the riverfront, and the casino. A cab to the French Quarter or the Plaza was around 6-7 dollars very reasonable. Staff outstanding even taking your grocery list, shopping for you and when you return from your site seeing its there for you. Just great, the breakfasts were also well worth it, we did not go to the social hour we just did not have enough time, maybe next time
