We stayed for one week 4/20/2010 thur 4/27/2010. Right in the center of town, easy to get anywhere from our location. Hotel was well kept, freindly staff, Pool and gym was very nice. Grert deal for the money. Did not like the view from our first room, they promptly moved us to a higher floor with a great view overlooking the bay S.F. one of the best trips to a city I ever had, Thank you Hotel Nikko for a great Vacation. The hotel was in a great location and relatively close to everything. Very nice hotel for the price we paid on travel online. Upgrade fee is definitely worth it for a much larger room with a King size bed. The Queen petite room is fine if you dont plan on spending much time in the room. The bed in the Queen Petite room seemed to be the size of a full or a really small queen bed. Hotel Staff was very attentive and helpful. The only main concerns we had was the parking fee in the hotel, which was $* a night!!! Quite frankly it was a bit extreme since the parking fee alone was more than half of what we paid for our room rate on travel online. Addtionally, the hotel charges its guests a fee of $* to use their fitness room and pool during your stay. Internet is not free and you have to pay another fee for that. Basically you pay for your nice hotel room and the rate does not include anything else.

Other reviews were helpful...Small room, small bed, soft and kind of caved in towards the middle. The air conditioning wasn't working but they got a technician to fix it pretty quick. Like the other reviews stated, they will ask if you want to upgrade your room for a king bed and you are charged to use the pool. Me and my wife are low key travelers with minimal needs and it was worth the stay. Use the parking garages near the Hotel. * for the day.

The hotel was nice even though everything had a price. The fitness room fee of $* was reasonable (covered the whole stay) but the internet fee in the business center was ridiculous ($* for 15 min). I also didn't like being pressured to "upgrade" just to check in when I paid in advance for my room (the clerk who processed it was very nice, though, so that took off the edge a bit). The upgraded room we were in was pretty spacious and had tub and shower! Nice fixtures! But the sign that promised a view of the Golden Gate bridge, etc, was misleading. Alll the rooms were locked. If anyone had a conference in the rooms, he/she would probably get a good view. I did like the fact that most places were within walking distance, including Chinatown and Fisherman's Wharf--if you didn't mind strolling a bit of distance.

The hotel was very convenient to the metro, Union Square, restaurants and the trolly. Very nice room which we paid $20 extra to get a larger room, well worth it. Nicely decorated, great view from the 14th floor, comfortable beds, large bathroom with tub, large flat screen t.v.. All in all I would definitely return.
