Great location. 10 minute walk to Smithsonians and National Mall. Subway stop located under the hotel and tour bus picked up out front. The hotel interior does look a little older with slightly worn carpet and wallpaper. TV only had about 12 channels but I didn't come to DC to sit in my room and watch TV. Concierge service was ok but not stellar. Room was clean and everything worked well in the bath. The first room we got had twin beds instead of a king but we called the front desk and they moved us to another room within 20 minutes. They charge for internet access downstairs and it's expensive but you can print boarding passes for free. Wireless service available in the room. Overall, I was very happy and would stay there again.

Positives: L'Enfant's location was excellent - we bought a week-long metro pass and traveled all around DC with ease from it as our home base. Price was right for us and we loved our trip. Negatives: This hotel is ok, but worn-looking. Not an impressive place to stay on it's own. Also, because it's in the midst of a bsuiness district, the area's populated duirng business hours, but a ghost-town evenings and weekends. No one around and everything's closed. Would stay there again at a good price, but it didn't "wow" me.

Two of us enjoyed staying at the L'Enfant Plaza Hotel for its convenient location and good service. We did have to wait a little when we first arrived but ended up with a lovely room with two double beds. Food wasn't bad in the restaurant, and the staff was very helpful. I'd go there again.

Since we were visiting the city for pleasure, we wanted to be located within walking distance of the Mall. This hotel is nicely located for walking to the Mall and visiting the Washington and Lincoln Monuments, as well as the Vietnam, Korean and World War II Memorials. It's also near the Smithsonian Museums. The primary negative of this hotel was its price, but perhaps that is to be expected for a good location in the DC area.

This is supposed to be a frirst class hotel? I have stayed at hotels that were 2-3 star and did not charge me to print out a boarding pass. Small item but it is the principal of the service. Also meals were way over priced.
