This is a wonderful hotel. The location is fantastic, right on the cable car line. It is a short walk or ride to everything yet it is an area with the feel of a real San Francisco neighborhood. Some great cafes.. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Everyone had a genuine interest in making my stay comfortable.

This hotel was exquisite. I really enjoyed the staff! Me and my husband were there for our 5th anniversary and when I told them that info they quickly changed ustype a room with a view. The room was ver spacious and the bed was very comfortable. If I am ever in Dan Francisco again Would definitely makeThe Stanford my first choice !!!

Great location, convenient to all muni transportation. Exellent staff available 24/7. In house restaurant good for a hotel restaurant. Having to pay a surcharge for WiFi seemed unreasonable for this caliber hotel. Most others in area provide at no extra cost. Parking at $60 per night is painful but I guess that is a SFO item in general. Was unable to purchase muni passes at hotel even though muni said they sold them. Request a courtyard room if you want quiet but you lose the city view.Minor earthquake thrown in at no extra charge! Have stayed there over past 20 years and always been pleased. Will stay there again next trip.

The Renaissance Stanford Court was lovely! The staff were friendly, courteous and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. My husband and I were visiting San Francisco on vacation and the hotel staff was able to give great recommendations and assist us in our travel plans. We did not have any problems with noise - the hotel is in a prime location in the city, and while you can hear trolley cars quietly outside during the evening, it by no means kept us awake - we found it to added to the charm of the city. We ate in the restaurant downstairs, thoroughly enjoyed the food, but found it to be a little pricey. The bar had great ambiance and we visited it regularly before going out in the evenings.
