Checked into this hotel on Sunday 9/4/11. After telling the desk clerk that we do not want to leave our credit card open to charge inciedentals and letting her know we will pay cash for everything such as the $7.00 charge to have a fedex package that had been sent to the hotel for us to be delivered to the room. We paid the package delivery charge in cash then she swiped our card to pay for the resort fees! As she swiped the card she asked if we wanted to pay cash or charge for this!!! We told her to cancel the charge and we would pay cash she then said it was too late and it would take a few days to credit back to the account as this was a debit card. After telling the cleaning staff each day what time we would like our room cleaned and leaving it empty for hours at a time we never did have our room cleaned each day, just once the day before we checked out did they clean our room! Woken up on our second day by the window washers cleaning our 7th story window. The resort fees we paid for included the use of the pool which is nothing to brag about and mostly filled with annoying children splashing you, it included our 2 for one drink coupon, 2 for one buffet coupon (which they didn't tell us was not valid on a holiday! Labor Day is considered a holiday and thats when we had the time to use it!), and use of the gym that we did not use. Therefore our free drink and and free disgusting buffet dinner that we squeezed n on a day that we really didn't have time for cost us a whopping $ 89.00. A little too much to pay for a free drink and a dinner that tasted worse than any hospital food I have ever been served. Needless to say, the account that the desk clerk was not supposed to charge has now accrued $105.00 in overdrat fees as I did not get to transfer money quick enough to cover the automatic bill payments I have taken out of it! Last year I paid a total of $60.00 more to stay in an amazing room at the Venetian where I did not have any issues and had the best vacation of my life. I will be surely staying at the Venetian from now on.

Staff was friendly, room & hotel were clean, right on the strip. The resort fee ($20 + tax) sucks, but it does include the wifi internet where many of the other hotels do not so this was a plus. Price was more competitive vs. other hotels in the area. I'd definitely stay there again.
