I guess we didn't pick the best time to go, the hotel was under renovation so we had to wake up each morning to loud banging noises of construction. The hotel is very old and I guess that is why they need the renovations. What made me most upset about this hotel was the misleading information they gave us. When we checked in, I asked the lady at the counter to specify what the "2 Complimentary Buffet Breakfast" meant. She told me it was 2 Breakfast for each person: one breakfast per day. However, during the check-out another lady told me that it was only 1 breakfast per person so she went on to charge us for the breakfast that we didn't even want had we known we had to pay an extra $100 for. The buffet breakfast was less than satisfying, definitely not worth the money. This was money that I did not need to spend also because the hotel already charges $20/ day resort fee for internet and newspaper that we didn't even use at all during our stay. There really isn't much benefits to staying in this hotel, I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

The good Old MGM is still a great hotel after all this time. The room was great! Marble everywhere, the rooms were tastefully decorated, a great Casio, and very plush beds. The rooms where clean. However, when I picked up a glass in the bathroom I did cut my finger on a piece of broken class. No matter though. They took care of it accordingly. I couldn't have asked for a better hotel. The only thing that is slightly disappointing is the fact that they are remodeling it next year. They will be getting rid of their lion habitat which is upsetting. But it still is a great hotel. The LAST thing I'll will say though is that their water pressure is REALLY bad! But other than that it was a great trip, and a great stay!

overall good value for money. I wished they would rethink the resort fees . a lot of hotels have gotten away from this. this was my second time staying and the first time we had a better room. they charged me twice for the resort fees but did catch their error and refunded the amt.

The clerk at registration was friendly enough however as a first time registrant for the M-Live I was shocked that I did not receive ANYTHING as a new member. I had heard that you would get maybe 5.00 or something if you signed up. Also, the room was not comfortable given there was no tub and the shower and sink were immediately visible (IN YOUR FACE) upon entry into the room. Who wants to walk directly into a sink when entering a room. I assume it is designed to make you UNCOMFORTABLE so you will leave the room and resume gambling or something elsewhere in the hotel! They succeeded !!!

This hotel seems to have lost its identity as one of the top on the strip - staff wasn't rude, but came across uninterested and appeared to have other things they'd rather be doing. I had stayed at the MGM 4 years ago and the experience was completely different.
