This hotel is in a great location...2 blocks from Bourbon Street, but quiet. Easy walk to the main drag, Decatur Street, the river, French Market, etc. The staff was incredibly pleasant and very helpful in recommending restaurants and giving directions. The continental breakfast was just "okay", but you'll probably be looking for beignets anyway.

The rooms themselves are fine. Nothing particularly special. The walls are very thin so you will hear everything that is going on out in the hallways (and sometimes the room next door!) But honestly, you can't beat the location. It's just a block off Bourbon Street and a few blocks from the river. Yet it's quiet and clean. You can't hear any commotion from the street below and since the party goes on 24/7 sometimes, this is a welcome relief. The interior courtyard is very pretty and I'm sure that the pool is perfect in the summer (I was there is November.) The rooms with a balcony are more expensive, but since I was really only in the room to sleep, shower and change, a regular room was fine. The bathroom door with slits was a little weird, but it wasn't odd enough to make the stay uncomfortable. The breakfast in the morning was small, but it was fine to grab some coffee before heading out to any number of restaurants within walking distance.
