Very pleasurable experience. Let us check in early. Got bayside view room. Rooms clean...a bit small. Free breakfast was great. Free wi-fi added perk. Super friendly staff. Decent pool. Hotel walking distance to many places, and a few miles from sea world. Would definitely stay here again.

  • This hotel was ok, for the price paid.

Overall this hotel was ok. The room was a good size, for just having a king size bed. Overall cleanliness could have been better. The carpets had stains, this is a first for me. I've never been to a hotel with dirty rugs. Made me wonder how clean they were really keeping these rooms. The staff was not the best. They never greeted you when you walked by, and several times I waited for them to come out from the back to help me, even though they could see me standing there waiting to be helped. The hot breakfast is horrible, just scrambled eggs, ham, pancakes and oatmeal. They also have cereal, and some pastries, but they taste old. The staff just asks for your coupon, and that's it, they don't help u in anyway. There was a tip jar on the counter but what would I tip them for. They don't help u, and don't even restock up items that run out. You can hear every door shut, everything echoes on the hallways, and if there is a large group in the pool area, you can hear them all night long. I would only recommend this hotel for heavy sleepers and couples, not a good hotel for kids. On yeah, and the parking is not free, its $14 a night. Before booking I called and asked if there was a parking fee, they said no, but when I got there, I found out there was. I will never stay at a best western again

  • A good place to stay...if your just looking to crash someplace for the night.

The Bayside was a decent hotel. We just had a bad choice in rooms. We were put in the King on the first floor. The room was next to the Laundry / break area for the staff so the noise level was very high most of the time. The room was an interior room so the view out the sliding glass door of the enclosed pool. However we didn't have access to the pool they had installed a 8 foot high fence that made you feel a bit like you were in a hamster cage. On check out we had signed up for a 12:00 pm shuttle to the port and at 12:00 pm the driver walked out and took off with the van. I can only assume picking up in coming guests had the higher priority than any commitment made to those checking out. Its close to Little Italy. So that made it an easy walk to lots of food and plenty of sights to see. Just not out the window of our room. So get out of the room, just go back to crash for a few hours.

  • Very nice and stylish, Miho (Front Desk) is the greatest!

We were able to check in early with no problems, and got the non-smoking bay view room we were hoping for. M was the friendliest and most helpful person you could find, and there was a man at the front desk who was also wonderful! Renovated rooms look amazing and we had more space than we knew what to do with. Warning, if you plan on watching TV you'll be disappointed because the renovations haven't reached the TVs yet. We were able to get Zoo tickets at the front desk and they just added them to our bill to be paid upon leaving, so within 2 minutes we had Zoo tickets and a cabbie outside waiting to take us there! Their shuttle driver was also great, friendly and funny! There was one rude man working in the restaurant but it wasn't enough to put you off eating in there. Hubby said he was a little short with him after he only ordered soup one night, and he wasn't thrilled to give me a to-go cup (long day, I kept falling asleep at the table, LOL). Area by bar is very cozy with huge TV and urban style. Breakfast was interesting. I love potatoes, and theirs were great, so I was in heaven!! There is no meat on the free buffet!! All the food was good, just beware of people grabbing food with their hands instead of using the tongs that are provided!! Why do people do that?!!? It was also great that they have a computer available for guests, so you can print your boarding passes early and get priority seating (if you're flying SW). All in all, we loved the hotel and will gladly stay there again or at another BW in the next place we find ourselves vacationing!

The hotel had a great location. It was within walking distance from lots of great locations and places to see. The hotel was very clean and housekeeping was excellent. The restaurant had a complimentary breakfast, but was only open M-F. Overall the hotel was definately worth every penny spent.
