We stayed 4 nights and overall we would stay again. Started off a little rockie. We had booked a room on the front of hotel because we had read about the train noise but our room was not ready when we arrived. We were given a room on the 7th floor in the back and told no one ever complained about it. Although we could hear the trains running most of the nights it didn't bother us. On our 1st night the shower filled with water that was so slw to drain we feared it would overflow. We reported it the next morning and they were quick to fix it. After that everything else went well. Be prepared to pay a steep price for Internet, hard to take when it's free at most places. Also paying for parking was pricey but well worth the convienve for having your car ready to pull out at any time. Free coffee and scones for breakfast, and easy access to walk all around downtown. We will try to stay at this hotel again.

Hotel is an amazing historic property. Lobby is extraordinary. Location is walkable to all downtown activities, yet is quiet. I asked for an upper room with a king bed, and got a room on the 5th floor with high ceiling. Room was modest in size, but very comfortable and updated. The dining room has fabulous fresh food and they'll deliver to the room (outside of the room service menu) if you ask. Staff was helpful, accomodating & friendly. Valet/door service is a nice touch (hotel charges $25/nt for parking regardless.) It snowed while we were there and I was so pleased that I paid extra to stay in a posh hotel with amenities rather than "just a room" elsewhere.

I reserved a room for two adults. I received a tiny room wiht a double bed, and the only chair was the one at the desk. The room was sparsely furnished, and the bed was small and uncomfortable. The lobby is beautiful and worth visiting, but do NOT book a room!
