We stayed here for 4 nights and overall had a pleasant experience. The room was clean, the high ceilings made the room feel much bigger than it was, and the staff throughout the hotel were very helpful. The location was great; we were able to walk all over the city then make our way back down Bourbon Street back to the hotel. My only complaint would be that night time was not quiet; it was noise from the outside. Revving engines, and the garbage pickup at 3:30am was a nightly annoyance . We were in room 184, so if you have a room on the interior or not next to garbage pickup you should be just fine. Another person we were traveling with was staying at this hotel too and didn't have the noise issues we did.

I have been staying at this hotel for years and was excited to hear about the remodel. I recently traveled back to NOLA and was very thrilled to see the renovations. It was exciting to explore the hotel and see all the changes and improvements. The gym is incredible! The rooms look amazing! The old design for the eating areas is out and a fresh look is throughout the hotel. Always, always go to the bar and see Chuck and to the pool bar and see Patrick. Staples of the hotel and know everything there is to know about everything in the city. Great resources and I am happy that the hotel kept them on through all of the changes. The hotel is amazing and I can't wait for my next visit so I can stay here again! Pros are always that the hotel is in the Quarter. You can go out for a bit and sightsee and then head back to your hotel without schlepping too far. It's on the streetcar line (Canal Street) and also right by the bus line if you don't want to rent a car. You can get pretty much anywhere you want to go right outside the door. If you used to stay at this hotel but haven't for a while, give it another try! I don't know how the pics will look uploaded - the whole "image has to be this wide or tall" thing... whatever.

It is a great location, close to the action, but quite enough to feel like you were miles away when you are ready for some peace and quite. The Red Fish Grill is in the hotel and the staff is amazing. Highly recommend staying here.
