05/23/2011Wonderful staff and room quality. i would recommend for business or weekend getaway trip. although if you plan to take your kids, better choose different hotel.

The location (across from Union Station) was quite convenient, as was the fact that the hotel has an Irish pub. (And there's a great French restaurant around the corner, too!) The hotel is clean, comfortable, and charming. Although a one-night stay is insufficient to review the staff, they were friendly and efficient for what little I needed during my stay.

Room was very small; but very good price for that location. We had reservations months in advance, yet our room was not ready when we arrived. They put us up for one night in another hotel. Once we got back things were fine.

Great value for the money--clean, safe, comfortable, and perfect location--just a few blocks (an easy 15-minute walk) from the National Mall. Easy subway access. Not the most attentive staff, but I don't mind that--as long as the room is clean, I'm happy with minimal interruptions. Definitely recommend, and we plan to stay there again on our next trip to DC.
