Got my money worth.
03/09/2013Hotel was adequate and a good value. staff friendly and accomodating. restaurant poorly managed. overnight parking @ $25.00 was cheap enough for sfo. i'm happy.

The room looks like a cheap roadside motel that I'd expect by some freeway offramp in the countryside. Yet this is in the middle of San Francisco ---- I tried to spend as little time in the room as possble. The street noise is considerable. I should have known something was up when I found complimentary earplugs in a sealed bag by my bed!

Although the price was reasonable and the location was good for our purposes, I don't think I would stay here again. There was no air conditioning, so when the temperature was an unseasonable 80'F, there was no circulation in our room resulting in high humidity and temperature. Since this is more like a 70's motel, our door and small window opened onto the outdoor courtyard, so noise and activity from two floors of rooms seemed to put us right into the middle of everyone else's action. There were also some exceptionally "colorful" characters in the surrounding neighborhood that may be disturbing to some visitors.

60's retro theme makes this place different, but clean and comfortable. Had no problems at hotel, but we quickly got a taste of the seedier side of SF on the way to the 'main drag' two blocks away and on the walk along it. Don't know what the area is like at night, as we were up early and to bed early. No complimentary breakfast, but that wasn't a problem as there were places to eat close by.
