I learned that I had to attend the CES event in Las Vegas with short-notice. The main hotels along the strip were booked. Never having stayed off-strip before, I figured I'd take the risk staying at a casino versus a standard hotel without one. Check-in was a breeze as was check-out. Staff were all very friendly, the food was good, but most important to me - the room. I had a great view in the tower and frankly, I found the tower rooms equivalent in quality to many of the main strip rooms if not better.

I have never had this happen before and this impressed the heck out of me. On the morning of my departure I asked for a very early wake-up call. Because I had only fallen asleep a few hours before, I slept right through the wake-up call. To ensure I was safe / ok - and awake, security checked my room out of concern. Talk about a shock, but it worked and I was greatly appreciative.

As the President of a technology company, I travel a great deal and have stayed at many fine hotels and many not so fine hotels. The staff and the room made this hotel a fine hotel in my book.

I have stayed at Palace Station 3 times prior to this last stay. And it will be the last stay. It is a great bargain and that is the appeal but I had nothing but issues. They charge an additional 5.00 a day for what - a pool you can't use in the winter? The food isn't great and service in the cafe' was unfriendly, particularly the night staff. I felt like I was intruding on their time when they had to wait on me. The courtyard room halls are a maze, no elevators, smelled faintly of urine and even though I had a DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door (because its Vegas and I was out late), housekeeping called every afternoon, waking me up, to ask if I wanted service. Thats why I had a sign on the door! You can't get a drink in sports book, where I spend my time and money. you have to go to the bar yourself if you want service. Then they lost one piece of my luggage and when I asked for help and a search I felt as if I were the blame or was deceiving them that I lost a bag. Unfortunately it contained new clothing and gifts, as well as other personal items. I felt like they could care less and offered no help beyond handing me report paperwork. They charged deposits that still, after 3 weeks, are being held against my card. That has happened before and it took two months to clear it up. Tbe best experience is one employee in sportbook who is great, otherwise I won't go back again and don't have too as there is definitely no shortness of hotel rooms in Vegas.

We go to Las Vegas about 2x/yr and almost always stay at Palace Station. The staff is very nice and accommodating and we enjoy staying away from the strip. There is a free shuttle that takes you to 2 different ends of the strip and the airport with very informative drivers. The food in the restaurants is good and the restaurants varied(although we do enjoy going to other locations to eat other than breakfast). The remodeled tower rooms are very nice, less expensive than on the strip and the beds comfortable, very nice bathroom area, and large Plasma TV in room. The LA Comedy Club was enjoyable and guests get a reduced ticket-nice perk.
All in all a good "deal", and we will definitely stay there when in Vegas.

I knew this would not be anything like a Strip experience (have stayed at Venetian and TI many times) but this was a last-minute thing and had to be done on the cheap. Which it was. The Tower room was nice, fairly small, could hear every word of conversations in adjoining rooms (!). Staff was efficient if not exactly friendly. Buffet better than expected and a good deal, especially at lunch (with coupon you get when you check in). Service painfully slow in cafe, food OK at best. Slots very tight for an off-Strip casino. Drink service at tables and slots slow. Best part of stay - free shuttle to and from airport and both ends of the Strip; probably saved at least 5 taxi fares by using it. Beware of $6 per night "service charge" beyond your room charge for ????. OK place for what I paid ($59 a night, plus tax and service charge) but I would not stay there again. I really missed the excitement of the Strip!
