This hotel is in an ideal location for exploring and touring, visiting the universities, or if in town for business. It is virtually right at a subway "T" stop (Arlington) and is in a great location for walking Boston. the "petite" rooms are indeed extremely small, but they are nevertheless stocked extremely high quality fittings, comfortable bed, large flatscreen tv, great bathroom amenities. Truly a great value. The larger-sized rooms are really two petite rooms with the wall knocked out - and they still have both bathrooms! The lobby is showing its age, but with all of Boston right outside the doors, you hardly even notice. I recommend this hotel.

growing up in Boston, i always wanted to stay at the Park Plaze hotel because i would walk through the hotel almost everyday to get to the Arlington Street Greenline station. For this trip, the hotel had a great rate and i decided to book it. The hotel is a classic older hotel. It is situated in a great location and has many great restaurants near it. It has alot of history. Rooms: as expected, the rooms were a tad dated... small bathrooms. But clean and decently furnished. The bed was a tad lumpy, but had comfortable pillows and comforter. Cons: very thin walls. i could hear the person next door coughing... and when people where in the hall way you could hear them also. Service: the service was avg to below avg. I forgot to bring a toothbrush and asked the front desk where i could buy one near by, they told me they would send one up. It never came. also, when i was checking out, they had a charge for Breakfast that i never had... when i told this to the receptionist, she questioned me twice about it..." are you sure?" "You are aware they ask for room number and name? did you give this information to anyone?" i found this off putting and a unprofessional. I probably would not stay here again... unless the rate was extremely low..... shame, because i always thought the Park Plaza was a hotel focused on service.

The Park Plaza hotel has always held a special place in my heart. I grew up in Boston and when we would attend plays and ballets in the Theater District, we would always end up dining near the Park Plaza hotel. I dreamed of a day when I could stay there. I finally had my chance recently and I was very dissappointed. FIrst, the rooms are very small, we had a King bed and really that was all that was in the room. The bathroom was TINY! The walls were paper thin, in fact that was what made the stay so awful. Apparently, the hotel was hosting a couple of hundred people in town for a big Patriots playoff game. The people in the room next to us were up parting all night. Seriously, I felt like I was part of their party as we could hear their conversations/music/every move! We were going to call the front desk to complain, but they eventually left their room....only to come back at 2am and pick up where they left off. At 2am my husband and I just decided to stick it out and put the volume up on our TV. The beds were ok, the only thing that was good was the location, my husband and I were able to take a walk after dinner through the Public Gardens and down Newbury St. Other than that, really nothing special!
