The Grand Hyatt is a business hotel and the prices during the week are more money, so that means stay there on the weekend if you're not a business professional. If you're just there for the weekend, I suggest you stay there. The hotel was nice and clean and also had friendly and helpful staff. I would stay there again in a heart beat and I plan on it on my next visit.

No warning on construction all around

I stayed here on March 15, 2013. It wasn't until I arrived that the staff told me there was "some" construction going on. I asked to be moved to a higher floor, but was told they didn't have any other rooms like the one I had paid for. As it turned out, my room was surrounded by it. the floors were drapped in plastic, the walls had wires hanging out, and the room and hall strongly smelled of fresh paint. The construction began early and I had the joy of walking up to the sound of saws. The smells and sounds gave me a headache. At check out I mentioned that I would have appreciated advanced warning on the construction. The clerk asked if I hadn't been warned when I checked in. I pointed out that I needed to know before I arrived and had already paid for the room. This construction was a very large project, so I doubt it will be complete anytime soon.

This hotel has one of the best locations in DC with indoor access to the Metro station. You can get to any part of the city from this starting point. Hotel is comfortable, with pleasant staff. They were in the process of remodeling and offered some premiums for any inconvenience. We will definitely book this hotel again!
