The location of the hotel was perfect for sightseeing, restaurants, and of course close proximity to the train. I found it to be very family friendly and clean, the staff was super friendly, and the hotel itself was beautiful! I'd definitely stay there again and recommend to friends.

My husband and I went to Washington,DC for the first time this past August. I was a little worried about the heat and humidity so I wanted to choose a hotel right on or close to the metrorail. This hotel actually opens up to the metro, making it super easy to travel around the city. Its great location was amidst museums and restaurants. The hotel was beautiful and clean. I would definitely recommend it! We would like to stay at a Hyatt Regency again!

The Grand Hyatt truly is a stunning hotel. The lobby's atrium is gorgeous, especially with the Christmas decorations during our visit. There are restaurants, bars and shops right in the hotel and access to the metro from the lobby is another big perk. There are also plenty of great restaurants and entertainment within an easy walk of the hotel - we caught a basketball game at the Verizon Center and had a delicious dinner on 7th street and didn't need to take a cab at all. Our room was spacious with lots of places to put our stuff (I am an un-packer even if it's only a weekend trip) and we had a cool view of the atrium. The one strike came from that atrium access. Because the hotel has so much going on, it was pretty noisy in the atrium until very late at night and we could hear this in our room. Even with a little noise, I would definitely stay at the Grand Hyatt again. It was an excellent value and I really felt like we were spoiling ourselves in a fancy place!
