great resort hotel
01/03/2013Got a complementary upgrade at check in. room was huge! good staff and decent deli food. pool looked great but was to cold outside to enjoy.

This hotel looks nice from the outside and is located in a nice neighborhood. If you have a car, then its definitely close to many attractions. If you are relying on public transport, then just take the cab and don't waste time asking the concierge for guidance. The concierge is misleading - they suggested us to take lynx bus which is horrible in keeping up with the time and they don't stop in the bus stop in front of the hotel. The trolley to goto sea world is equally bad during the day time - we landed up wasting time. Please don't take the mears shuttle - they stop at every hotel to pick up and drop passengers and you will land up spending the same amount of money as cab but it will take you forever to get to your destination(It took us 1 hour, 30 minutes to get back from magic kingdom to rosen centre hotel). The boxed cab in front of the hotel is quite good for getting to the airport($42 flat fee, the cab costs the same btw but these are much nicer vehicles). Coming to the food options in the hotel - only the cafe is decent. You are better off going to restaurants close by. We tried to order room service but gave up on it since the people picking up the phone don't quite understand you or know the menu. It was weird they were taking calls for room service. The big downside is of course they don't have free breakfast. The concierge does not really know what they are talking about. Just plan your itinerary before hand and don't even bother asking them. The free internet in the room was good for checking email. They have both wired and wireless. The speed is obviously not great for streaming but sufficient for looking up restaurants and such. The house keeping came at 8.30 am the first day, which is ridiculous, we told them to come back later and they did again at 10 am. So we decided to keep the 'privacy please' tag outside the door at all times we were inside. The next two days they did house keeping after we had left the room

The hotel was recently renovated and the rooms look brand new. This is a large hotel and offers a great selection of dining options and a convenient food store ...great location on i-drive and can't beat the value for the money..would definitely stay here again... we stayed during December and they had holiday carollers in the lobby as we walked in which was a nice touch!

This is my third time staying at this hotel and I am always amazed. The staff (front desk, housekeeping,etc) was wonderful. There was an issue with our bathroom giving a foul smell from the shower drain and maintenance was called. The gentleman was very nice and was at the room In about 5 minutes. The words that come to mind when i think of this hotel Are the following: Efficient, prompt, courteous, clean, beautiful.
