Overall it was a good stay, the valet parking was slow and there wasnt a microwave in the room but there was a fridge and the pool area was nice with a bar by the hot tub. Like i say, u get what u pay for.

10/18/2011Nice hotel for the most no problems checking in and out ...don't really travel to stay couped up in a room so there is not too much to make ...
nice hotel for the most no problems checking in and out ...don't really travel to stay couped up in a room so there is not too much to make a big fuss about other than the one thing that stood out and could be a hassle for most who travel with lots of stuff...parking! parking! was the big issue. no self parking so you would have to park at meters or block or two away just to find a vacant meters so do plan on walking unless you plan on paying higher price for someone to park your car.....cars are parked directly in front hotel which makes it hard to drive up and drop ur bags off only had one lane to drop off and waited long for others too off load. the hotel is close to most everything just the parking is the issue or trying to find a spot to park...the meters are free at nites but you have to pay come 8am in the morning to park in that area....other areas of south beach may be different so be careful even at nites you may have to feed the meters..have fun and enjoy.

My stay at the Deauville was not enjoyable at all. There was EXTREMELY loud music playing in the lobby all day Friday and Saturday - so much so that my children had to cover their ears between the front door and the elevators. It was very unpleasant. We couldn't even talk to each other until we left the lobby. Valet parking was a joke. The ramp was so crowded we had trouble pulling our car in to unload our things. The hallways of the hotel were dirty and dingy and our room was NOT clean. My husband had to clean before we could stay there. There were long black hairs stuck to the shower walls and on the floor. There was what looked like little piles of dirt in the corners of the bathroom and near the door to the room. The balcony floor and railing were very sticky. The carpet was dirty and everything felt damp. We needed to stay near family or we would have left and stayed somewhere else. We will never stay at this hotel again and a family member who lives near the Deauville (and who works in the hotel industry in Miami Beach) will caution others not to stay in this hotel based on our experience there.

Trouble as we step in
06/20/2011We thought this hotel would be a nice relaxing weekend getaway .. but.... they send us to a room where someone was already occupied in it, our key was not working ...
we thought this hotel would be a nice relaxing weekend getaway .. But.... They send us to a room where someone was already occupied in it, our key was not working and they overcharged us twice or money for checking out...... The beach was excellent... The room was smelling of mildew..... But other than the mishaps it was quiet fun..
