Pros: is the cheapest one around. If you are in a very, very tight budget you may go. Cons: pictures are a lie. Don’t fall with the nice pictures you see on any travel website. The only things in the hotel that matches the pictures are the pillows with the big “D”. As soon as you arrive you discover there are no parking and no valet. Instead a very rude staff (Let me say it again: rude) that will tell you that you need to park 4 blocks away, by yourself (Or in the meters across the hotel, which are always full). When you get in, you see a nice lobby. That’s it (No more nice things). Remember this is considered a Resort (No way), so when you book the hotel, they don’t bill you for the Resort fees. As soon as you get into the elevator you see that the cheap cost means that you are in a very old hotel (Resort? Again: no way!). The musty smell starts as soon as you get into the elevator and is everywhere you go. The rooms seem to be painted in a rush (They call it remodeling, I call it repaint in a budget). You see paint splatter all over the room (You know, when you paint a wall and you don’t remove the switch plates). Mold is present in almost every corner of the room. Beds are hard as rock (But clean). TV’s are outdated and the night we stayed the signal went off. We asked and they said they where working on that. We left the hotel and we never watched TV because the signal never came back. Room Service was good and fast. Food was ok (But at Resort costs, 3 dishes $100. This is the only moment I felt I was in a resort: when I saw the bill for the food). Another thing I didn’t liked, is that one of the shampoo bottles in the bathroom was used when we arrived. I wonder if they recycle the bottles left by other guests. Pool was old; you can see the deterioration of the pool floor even at night (By the way there is no illumination in the pool at night). They close the Pool Service (Towel boy) at 8, but keep open the pool until 12, so if you need a towel, you better bring one from your room (You still can call Room Service for extra ones). Why I stayed in this hotel after all these things? Because all the hotels next to the Convention Center where booked. Believe me, this one was my last resort. Next time I prefer to stay one hour from Miami Beach, that stay this one.

You get what you pay for, and staying in Miami apparently should cost more. This hotel peaked when it hosted the Beatles in the 60s and has never recovered. Don't be fooled by the lobby pics. It's a mirage. Someone attempted to update this hotel and did a very poor job. Sloppy paint and overall sloppy craftsmanship. This hotel's towels aren't even worthy of motel and there were only sheets on the bed (no duvet). The hotel's hallways aren't air conditioned, so be prepared to sweat after leaving your room while waiting for the elevator. The cherry on the top of this stay is that the hotel has NO ONSITE PARKING. Valet was filled upon our arrival, so your next parking option is to leave your car in a public lot three blocks away, which requires you to feed a meter. Oh and you can only add coins in 8 hr blocks which means you're going to have to hoof it out to the meter at 8 am (when they start reading meters again) or get a ticket. Sweet. Oh and would it kill you to clean the pool? There was enough sand in there to choke a small camel.

Where do I start with this hotel. When we got there they told us that we needed to put down a 150 dollar hold in cash or a 40 hold on card to check in. Then when we got to our room we didn't have wash cloths we called down there atleast 10 times it took them 45 mins to bring them up.then we got to the beach the next day we only got two chairs no umbrella for that stupid 15 dollars a day charge.I still didn't understand that charge because if I'm paying a day I can take that umbrella anywhere on the resort. After that we went back to get in the shower and guess what wasn't there...WASH CLOTHS or TOWELS!They said that they were being washed!how is a hotel gonna run out of those important things? Then I went to get a pop on my floor but everything was sold out.So I went down to the lower level to get a POP but I needed exact change.I went over to the cafe to get quarters he tells me that he doesn't have any so i go to the front desk..THEY DIDN'T HAVE ANY!at this point I didn't think this hotel could make me any more mad.I go to the floor under us that pop machine took my money!horrible hotel!but it only gets worst.so now we r on the third day and we went to the bar where the bartender claims he was just to busy to take our order had us waiting for 15 mins without even offering water.I had to go back in the hotel get the manager so he would serve us.The manager said it was gonna b added to our room charge but when we checked out they would discount it.yeah that never happened because he didn't let anyone at the first desk know.so when I checked the last day they said we wouldn't have pay that pointless resort fee.next time I'm just gonna spend more money to stay at a very nice resort.that was my first time in Miami but i know now where to stay and this wasn't the place!

I love this hotel...I've stayed here twice both times were great. Hotel staff is friendly &you welcoming. My room had a veiw of the pool and ocean. It's also a great place for families to stay without all the hustle and bustle of South Beach! The food was also delicious from the hotel restaurant /cafe.
