First the negative: Our fridge was on the fritz, the power went out the first 10 mins we were there-came right back on, the patio door was troublesome to secure-fixed right away. Hotel food & drink : a touch overpriced. Be prepared to cab it or walk. The trolley is a great deal bc it picks up at the resort. Now the AWESOME: The views are AMAZING!! Soft bed!! The nespresso machine was my favorite. The room was like a page out of IKEA. The staff all very friendly. The watersports crew and the brunch bloody mary bar attendant were our favorite staff! We never had to wait long for a cab. I would definitely return but plan ahead meal wise to save money.

  • Awesome staff .

Attention all worry warts. I feel your pain. I am just like you. Where to stay? What to do? This is a really nice hotel with an exceptional staff. Hard to find fault in anything unless your like the kind that looks for it. It's a vacation. Let it go. Hotel is away from main drag of shops on Duval, and all the cruise ship crowd. But its a three minute drive or a nice walk depending on the time of year. There is a beach but water is more rock than sand. Most hotels have none. The public beach next door has the best swimming area. The pool area is fun to hang out with or without the family. Very good drinks and food. Again, staff at pool and bar where awesome.

  • The hotel staff were very nice and professional.

My husband and I just came back from a one week stay at the Casa Marina Resort. We had a great time but was dissapointed in a lot of things. My husband had never seen the ocean and it was really important to me that he did. The ocean was not crystal clear and blue like everyone had talked about. It was dirty, filled with seaweed and smelt liked rotten eggs. It was so bad one day we chose the pool side vs the beach. What I did like was that all of your water activities are on the resort. The jet ski tour was by far my favorite adventure while staying. It was well worth the money. As far as the hotel goes; the room was extremely tiny, had no dresser for our clothes, and you were charged for anything you took from the room. For example a $5 fee for the bottled water stocked in your fridge. The house keeping staff were excellent and very nice but they bugged us daily. They would bang on your door 10 times a day or just barge in. And if you didnt answer your door they would call. Also upon check out we had to pay a resort fee (which we knew about going in) but it was $25 per day plus $3 tax so $28 per day on top of the already expensive daily rates. They should include this fee into the rate or not charge at all for it. The food at the resort was excellent but again expensive. You couldnt buy a burger for under $18. We were broke by the time we left. After tipping everyone from the taxi drivers (who charge $8-$9 one way), bell boys, cleaning crew, servers, and pool side ppl it adds up. We had even taken $1,000 cash down with us and it was gone after the 3rd day. It was a lot more expensive than we had planned. Make sure you get a code for wifi. (if not they cahrge you $16.99 a day).
