This location of Quality Inn is pretty much your typical, run of the mill overnight pit-stop motel. It wasn't anything particularly special, but got the job done and overall, was a pretty decent stay. The beds were okay. Everything was clean. And really, when you're on a tight budget and trying to pinch pennies, this was a good option. The free breakfast the next morning was also not bad at all. Overall, this might not sound like the most glowing review, but I had no complaints. When you are on a budget like mine, not having complaints afterward is about the highest praise I can offer.

Upon arrival to our "clean room", we found copious amounts of black, curley hair in our bathtub. The staff did not clean our room our third night there. My eyes swelled completely shut every night (either allergic reaction to pillows/chemicals on linen or bugs). I woke up with bites each morning that were not there during the day (bed bugs perhaps?). And finally, I contracted ringworm while staying at this extremely sub-par and unsanitary motel. Aside from the motel's filthy condition, the staff were extremely unpleasant and unhelpful. Sleeping in a tent on a concrete sidewalk would have made our trip more pleasant. At least then I would have to treat this ever-spreading ringworm infection for the next 6-12 months.

Rooms are dark. Large flourescent light above sink and mirror was not working. Asked to have fixed. Wasn't fixed. Waited several hours. Complained repeatedly. Desk clerk could not find maintenence man so he brought a floor lamp that was insufficient to even shave much less apply make-up. Later TV remote didn't work. Called for service. Gave up after 1 hour. Asked for refund according to Motel policy. Was told that I would have to get my refund from the travel agent as they booked the room. Got different room next evening. It was better........at least the lights worked. Staff not helpful. They seem to have no authority to fix complaints. While checking out, I observed a woman whose room leaked. They gave her a $5 credit on her bill.

The woman at the front desk was very friendly. The breakfast was good, but only 4 tables - so it was cramped. My daughter wished the pool was heated - at least a little. The room was clean and quiet. There really wasn't any place close to eat and when I booked I didn't realize how far everything was. As far as we could tell there wasn't much to do in Bradenton. Considering we used the hotel as a home base for our day trips, it was a good value for the money.
