I rated this hotel as good because the room was not as cozy as I would have preferred. Also the bathroom is tiny. Only one person can be in the room at a time and there was not adequate space to put out all my toiletries. Other than the drab decor in the room, the rest of the hotel was excellent! The service was perfect and we were able to walk easily to all the sights located within blocks of our hotel. It was an easy stroll to times square, grand central station, ny public library, fashion district, rockefeller center, empire state building, central park, moma and 5th ave shops. We strolled down to the flatiron building and then onto soho then wall street and finally the water for a view of the statue of liberty. We took a $15-20 cab ride all the way back to the hotel. One last note-we never waited for an elevator. One was always open and waiting in the lobby and on the 10th floor we always had one open up right away afterpushing the button.

A very lovely hotel with roomy accommodations. Close to a corner eatery where one can grab a quick, inexpensive breakfast or light bite to eat. The hotel was close to a bus stop and walking distance to great places to shop in NYC. We all four enjoyed our stay and would stay here again on a repeat trip to NYC. We highly recommend The InterContinental Barclay.

This is a wonderful luxury hotel. Not somewhere you want to stay if you don't want to spend a lot of time and money riding in a taxi. We walked A LOT to get to the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade and to Times Square. The room was large and the bed oh-so comfortable. The lobby and restaurant are luxurious and beautiful. I was disapointed there was an additional cost for Wi-Fi, it should be a given that people today are going to want to be online, even to use the hotel computers were extra if you didn't bring a laptop! And we were facing the street so we had to turn the fan on high and put another blanket on to drown out the city noises.

I'm really a west sider yet this was fun to see the other side of town for once. Nice old school hotel.I was surprised at the size of the room for NYC. It is a nice hotel, with a pretty lobby. It is old school and not very modern. The staff was courteous and the bed was very comfortable. The pipes were filled with air and made loud noises . . . But that's the only thing I can complain about. A very nice place and I'm happy I stayed there.
